Questions for Adoptive Families to Think About

  • How prepared do you feel to answer some of the hard questions children ask about being adopted?
  • What special issues, needs, or concerns have you or your child experienced related to adoption and/or attachment?
  • How are you preparing yourself and your child for the predictable challenges related to adoption issues that will occur throughout your child's development?
  • How are you taking care of yourself?
  • Do you feel overwhelmed in dealing with the school systems or with adoption subsidy?
  • Are you and your family connected to and supported by other adoptive families?
