Are You Pregnant and Considering Adoption?

     If you are experiencing an unplanned pregnancy and would like to talk with one of our professional counselors about your options please call our office at (800) 690-4206. Please also see the section of this website Services for Pregnant Women. If you decide that making an adoption plan is the right choice for you we will be happy to sit down with you and discuss the type of family you would like for your child.  We can show you profiles of pre-screened families who meet your criteria.  Below is a brief description of some of our clients who are hoping to build their families through adoption. 

             Each couple or individual shown below has completed the pre-adoption requirements for the State of Virginia and are eligible to adopt from any state.  Each has a current adoption home study.  For more information about any of these families please use the contact information provided.  To see full-length profiles of these and other families please contact our office via email or phone.

 

Waiting Family Profiles

Hello.  We are Liz and Chris and we are hoping to grow our family through adoption.  If you are considering an adoption plan, we know that choosing a family for your child is probably the most difficult and important decision of your life.  That being said, it is tough for us to know what is most meaningful to share in a one paragraph synopsis of who we are.  We can tell you that we look forward to sharing our lives with a child and cannot wait to introduce a child to the many wonders of the world-love, family, holidays, pets, books, music, art, nature, hot cocoa, roasted marshmallows, and more!  If you would like to learn more about us, please contact our adoption social worker, Kim Hines, at 354-1881.
We are Andy and Dawn and we are excited about becoming parents! We live in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley and our home is in a safe community on about 18 acres of land with plenty of room to run and explore. We love the outdoors, hiking in the mountains, bike riding, jet skiing at the lake, traveling, going to the park, spending time with family, and we can't wait to share this with a child. Andy is a Quality Technician for a local manufacturing company and enjoys his work and Dawn is a stay at home wife and manages our investment properties. We are a fun-loving couple and dream of raising a child together. We live in a safe and secure home that anxiously awaits the blessing of a child or twins. We are Beth & Brent; we live in a rural town, a great place to raise a family!  We have found more in each other than a spouse but a best friend.  Our house, which we share with three dogs, is full of laughter and playfulness.  Brent is a firefighter and a warehouse worker.  Beth works in accounts receivable and is a massage therapist.  Once we have the opportunity to welcome a child into our lives Beth plans to be a stay at home mom. We enjoy traveling, time with friends and family which we are lucky enough to have very close by and playing with the dogs. We can’t imagine what it’s like to have to make the decisions you are faced with right now. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about us.

 
Mark and Rene have been married for 13 years. They have two biological children ages 10 and 8 and one adopted child age 20 months. They would like to adopt a child (or sibling group of two or twins) of any race over age 2. They are an active family who enjoys basketball, soccer, music, reading, art, dancing, travel and all things outdoors.   We are David and Becky and we so wish to be parents. We have been together for 5 years and married for three. We live in a new neighborhood with many families with children outside Staunton, with a view of the mountains. We are very close to our extended families and visit with them often. Becky is a Respiratory Therapist and David is a deli/bakery/cake decorator specialist for Kroger. We are active members of our church, enjoy doing fun things with our families, enjoy going to movies and Broadway plays, listening to local bands and traveling to different parts of the country. We are Joe and Teresa and we live in a small town outside of Roanoke, Virginia. We have been married for 5 years and are ready to expand our family through adoption. We have been unable to have children of our own, but still and have always wanted to be parents. Joe is a Trooper with the Virginia State Police and Teresa is a MRI Technologist. We love spending time with friends, our family, our dog Jessie and 2 cats Maggie and Jake. We also enjoy sports, movies, fitness, reading and any outdoor activities. Hi! We are Will and Emily from Richmond. We've been together for 13 years and married for nine, going on ten. Will is an attorney and Emily works part time as an administrative assistant. We met and fell in love while Will was in college and Emily had just graduated. We enjoy cooking, traveling and sports, among many other things. We've been trying to start a family for some time now, but aside from bringing a couple of furballs (i.e. cats) into the our lives, we haven't been able to get things going yet. Which brings us here. We are excited to start a new chapter in our lives with a baby, and hope that you will consider us. Hi! We are Dina and Adrian and we are really excited about starting a family. We have been married for over ten years and love to do things together outdoors (hiking, camping, skiing) and at home (watching movies, reading, and cooking). We live in Charlottesville and both work at the University of Virginia. Our community of friends and family has many children and will offer an nurturing and supportive environment for a child. We are very grateful to be considered as potential adoptive parents and look forward to providing all our love and support for a child. We are Suzie and Mundy, have been happily married to each other for 11 years, and can’t wait to bring a baby into our world. We both agreed early in our relationship that we wanted to bring a child into our lives through adoption. We live in a beautiful neighborhood on the shores of the Chickahominy River. We are active individuals who love running, climbing, fishing, and gardening. We enjoy quieter things like reading, antiquing or just lazing about on a cool summer evening doing a crossword and listening to the chatter of the tree frogs. Hi, we are Rich and Tina and we have been married for almost 5 years. We live in a wonderful neighborhood in Gloucester, Virginia. Since we are unable to conceive a child of our own, we have chosen to build our family through adoption. We feel an open adoption is best so we can share our child’s story with them. Rich is a physician assistant for an orthopaedic surgery group in Gloucester. Tina works as a clinical instructor for an x-ray school in Richmond. We have two dogs who love children. We are very much into sports and music, Rich plays guitar and Tina sings and plays keyboard. Rich has two older sons, Matt, 23 and Mitch, 21, who would love a baby brother or sister. Brian and Casey are a young fun-loving couple that enjoys music, art and the outdoors. They have been married for 7 years and are still falling in love with each other. They can’t wait to share their lives with a child. Family values are very important to the both of them. They are excited to create great memories with a child, just as they had growing up. Casey, 33, is a very caring and nurturing person which works well for her job as a clinical supervisor for an eye doctor’s office. Brian, also 33, is an estimator for an HVAC equipment supplier. We own a home in a lovely neighborhood, within walking distance of a park, with many families with young children.
