2003 "Kids Walk for Kids"

Held October 24, 2003, this event provided us all with some valuable reminders. We met more than 45 great kids who, by getting sponsors and walking, showed their commitment to helping others. We met some very young children, ages 3, 4, 5 and 6 that know what it means to do something for someone else. We saw the hard work of parents who are teaching their children that what they do can make a difference in the lives of others. We met 19 children who raised more than $100.00 each. We saw the extraordinary hard work of two children, Erin and Ben Heller, who raised over $2,035.00. We met people who donated water, snacks and prizes to the walkers. Thank you to all the children and adults who worked hard to raise the $6,538.96, to help children who are waiting for a permanent family through adoption.
