SERVICES FOR FAMILIES WHO HAVE PLACED

Coordinators2incprovides an ongoing monthly support group to birth parents and birth families. The birth parent and adoptee support group is facilitated by a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is also a birthmother and an adoptee. The support group is open to anyone considering placing or has placed a child for adoption. This group also includes adult adoptees who are interested in understanding the role of birth families in their lives. The group is free and is held the last Wednesday of each month from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Coordinators2inc office at 1617 Monument Ave, Richmond, Virginia. If you are interested in attending please visit our Orientations/Workshops page and call Coordinators2inc at 804-354-1881 or 800-690-4206 for more information.

Our agency also offers short-term counseling to birth parents after placement of their child. We provide referrals to therapists and counselors for long-term grief and loss counseling, as well as referrals to other resources for birth parents. Please call and ask to speak to a counselor for more details.
